Actually, his ad reads that the "jax pictured has been sold". He didn't post a pic of the "female deremensis". The left pic is a male deremensis, the right pic is a male jax.

Well, I suppose it is better than the recurring ad by Reptile Depot for verrucosus and oustaleti. They got the pics switched and never corrected them. They do look somewhat alike, but oustaleti doesn't have the dorsal spines that verrucosus does.

what am i supposed to be looking at?
he seems to have nice stock?

chico_dan85 Jul 15, 2004 09:56 PM

Well, I don't want to sound like a jerk, but his cham's have very dull colors along with the fact that he over prices them way too high. Look at the veileds. Not very colorful yet he sells them for $450.00 . Did you notice any of the panthers? Ouch... that's my opinion atleast.

mrcham Jul 16, 2004 12:19 AM

umm... i did think that the pair of veileds were kinda over priced at 450 but in his defense i beleive he has lowered the price on all his lizards somewhat drasticly just look in k.s. classifieds
i thought he had some decent looking panthers though
everyones entiteled to there own oppinion

I am always a bit skeptical of pics of a cham's color. Its easy to edit pics or stress the cham enough to make it show its most garish colors. The animal's condition (shape of casque, limbs, skin texture, eyes, rostrals), seeing them in person so you can judge their activity and seeing how they are kept probably mean more to me. If he has recent wc breeding stock they might well be worth more than an inbred mass produced veiled from a larger breeder.
