corn cob bedding?

justinmatthew Jul 13, 2004 09:48 PM

Is this an ok substrate? I have seen some people use what looks like corn cob bedding and I just liked the look of it? I have been using aspen and am ok with it, so it doesn't phase me if it is inappropriate to use. Thank you.

Corcob bedding will swell if injested, and is not safe for herps. Aspen is great, and you will not have a problem with it "EVER" if you use it, and looks just as good as corncob, if you ask me. Stick with newspaper or Aspen bedding, both are safe.

Also when corncob gets wet it molds very quickly.
