I'm wondering if the sports shops' (like Academy) night crawlers have parasites. I have been told that water monitors love to eat night crawlers, and I don't trust the employees enough to believe that the worms they have are parasite free. Do you guys know if they are?

My Savannah absolutely loved nightcrawlers, but within a month after feeding her these once a week (along with her usual fare), she began to show tapeworms in her stool. I ended up getting her a script from my vet, which cleared it right up, but I never went back to the crawlers, just wasn't worth the risk.
