Help. Ist hatchling out but seems as if the yolk sac wasn't fully absorbed

I don't have a pic cause the wife is out and has the camera but.. there is about 1/2 cm of a tan and bloody mass hanging out of the hatchlings butt. Is that normal? Will it be OK. This is the first snake from my first clutch. I opened the incubator this a.m. to find the cute little guy about 1/2 way out of the egg. I sat and watched him wiggle out over the next 20 min or so. I then held him for a minute to examen him and saw the mass. He otherwise seems normal and healthy. He was curious and moving around while I held him. Tell me it's OK!

A Prolapse is not OK. You can treat a prolapse by placing the corn in sugerwater. That is water with so much suger that the suger will not solve anymore. The suger will shrink the prolapse and then it will go inside again. If it is not a prolapse but a piece of sack hanging on a cord there is no problem.

Marcel--
Prolapse vs Attached yolk sack. Does this mean to use the sugar water in cases when you're not sure? Can it hurt in any way? I had a hatchling born with a either a prolapse or a sack last year (or rather half born--he died half way out), and I would have had no idea what to do if there had been time to do anything (I didn't realize there was a problem until too late).

I think a prolapse is easily identified. It comes out of the cloaca. And the sack will be attached to the belly. But the sugerwater won't hurt.

Here is one of my hatchlings that had the sack still attached. It is feeding now.

My snake has a similar looking mass but it is coming out the cloaca.

I don't think it's a prolapse so hopefully it will be OK.
