trouble sexing luna my cwd

bathory Jul 14, 2004 10:40 AM

around a month ago i purchased 2 cwds at 12weeks old for the purpose of eventual breeding. we were assured one was male (his pores are prominent, he is cresting up, looks fab) and the other was female. you can see her femoral pores but they have not changed at all, whereas his have changed. the problem lies in the fact that they are both cresting up. i know this is normal for our little fella but is this usual for a girlie? i am worried as we will have to lose her if she is a guy. other than that she is feminine. do girlies crest up around this time?
help!

All dragons have spikes, both male and female. The females will just be smaller, but you may not be able to tell the difference until they are older. Here is what my female looked like at about 10 inches long.
