My Baby Vestigium hatched on the 5th so its now 9 days still not eating :0(

I dont have much to go on, since I never hatched one of these guys until now.

But my c. collaris kids last year ate quickly ! He looks good, but not eating yet!

I have him in a bin, temps are fine, I took up the paper towels briefly so he could really see the little crickets, but he looked , and did nothing. He does take water.

Still dont know the sex, but what a cutie, getting lighter in color.

Also does any body have Casey Lasik's email, I seem to have lost it. Thanks,

See if you can catch one, and tear a single wing off...just enough to get it to buzz around eratically.

He/She looks great still...I would not be worried yet on the eating. The lizards looks awesome still.

come with the crickets sometimes, I forget the name of them. But collareds especially young ones usually feast on them.

He did not. He was very fat when he hatched, I know he had a nice reserve so to speak, but now hes thinning like an older baby, if you know what I mean.

He is longer than he was and legs are longer(if thats possible, hehehe) So hes appearing more slim as the days go by.

Hes very cute, he watches me , very inquisitive, just not interested in eating.

I dont want anything to happen to him, it took so long to get one hes very special,

I am good at "collecting food"
What I do is hang a bucket under a porch light, and after about an hour I have HUNDREDS of misc flying insects in there! Then I place them in a container for feeding in the morning.
I have 3 porch lights so I wouldn't even need to by crickets!
If this sounds like a good idea, I came up with it myself. If is sounds stupid, it was a JohnE's idea!
BTW I did get 6 eggs so far from my females, all scattered about the cage! One was even perched on a rock under the UVB bulb!
Crazy critterphytus's !!

Hi Eve,

Last year my first hatchling didn’t eat for around 2 weeks – but drank a lot. I tried everything and was about to try force feeding and then he ate. I don’t think that you should worry. From the picture your hatchling doesn’t look thin, so hopefully he will begin to eat one of the next days.
