Photos of our Leopard Geckos

This is our newest addition. We bought her last week at a pet store for 70 dollars. She was listed as a leucistic. I think she is a super hypo tangerine carrot tail baldy. Am i correct??

Our first Leopard Gecko. I am pretty sure shes a normal, unless she might be melanistic???? Any Ideas????

yeah, my boyfriend.
We got mary jane first, then came oval and peter together.... peter came from needing a "partner" for mary jane.... oval cause she was carrying eggs...... then came blondie, i think its obvious where she came from..... then clementine, another dead giveaway

Very nice geckos! but i have to disagree with the above post, if she were indeed melanistic, she would be much darker, with little visible spotting and no light stripes on her tail (although i could be wrong, im just going by pics i have seen) she looks like a normal to me! maybe she's a little bit older, hence the dark colouration.

I'll even admit that it is kind of iffy. It IS qithout question, darker than normal, but as for being classified melanistic (sp?), it actually is probably not... oh well.

It doesnt really matter to me whether she is melanistic or not.
Ive always thought she was a normal, so this isnt really news to me. But thank you all for your input.
I think she might be somewhere around a year and a half or two years old.

HOLY S&*T!!! That is a SHCT Baldy, and you got ONE HELL OF A DEAL!!! I bet you could find similiar for $150 on the net. Stupid pet stores have no idea.... I love some of them. It also means they might not know how to care for it, so get a fecal done for sure. "Blondie" looks more like a snow, likely B grade. She's got a little bit of yellow tint so she's not an A grade, but still very nice.

Blondie we picked up at a reptile show. They had her listed as Female Het Jungle. Is it possible to be het for jungle????
She used to have less of a yellow tone to her, but recently developed a yellowish color. But i still still think shes a nice looking gecko though.

milwaukeereptile Jul 14, 2004 12:52 PM

most snows will be hatched out extrememly white and gain the yellow over time... so a baby A grade snow may be a B- or C grade by adult.

Jungle is a recessive trait so it is possible to be het. Breed her with another jungle and get 1/2 jungles.

Ok. So im really new to this whole breeding thing.
If something is Het for something, it has to be bred to a lizard that is that thing it is het for.
For ex: Blondie: Het Jungle.... has to be bred to a jungle, or can she be bred to something that is het for jungle too?

Take Oval: Het for Rainwater Albino. If she is bred to Peter, who is a possible het for rainwater, and if he turns out to indeed be het, then will they make rainwater babies, or does she have to be bred to an actual rainwater???

And how about clementine. She is SHTCT baldy.... does she have to be bred to another super hypo, or can she be bred to say, peter (a hypo tang poss het rainwater), and have there be a chance shell make super hypo babies???

Thanks so much for possibly taking the time to answer.

Going back to good ol' punnet (All %'s are approximate and theoretical)

Het X Het
Aa X Aa = AA, Aa, Aa, aa. So you'll get 25% normal, 50% het, %25 albino.

Carrot-tail and tangerine are linebred, so typically it will be somewhere between the parents (unless it's Ray Hine tangerine, that is recessive so I hear).

Het X normal = 50% normal, 50% het

Het X Albino = 50% het, 50% Albino

Normal X Albino = 100% Het
