Are they like other crotes from the same region?

Yes they are basically the same. I've been in C. enyo habitat in Baja. It is typical rattlesnake habitat. Cool looking snakes. They have one alive in the Univ of La Paz - been in captivity there for around 20 years.

A paper just came out on reproductive biology of C. enyo. It is in the Bulletin of the Southern California Academy of Sciences. Full reference below. This paper discusses how and when C. enyo breed in the wild, but it contains references to captive studies.
