red is a subjective color to many people largely due to the fact that BDs can change colors so drasticly. the colors red and orange are actually very close even though it does not seem so at first glance. blaze orange and fire engine red are different but rarely do dragons get that color and stay that way. Most dont photograph to their true high color either. Every "red" I have ever purchased including 3 from chris (jersey dragons) who produced some of the nicest I have ever seen, are really more orange than red.
So while there may be some BDs out there that are red and hold that color, I have yet to see one in person.

I agree, what I usually see as orange other people call red. Here are some of my babies from last Season who I see as orange but their new owners call red.

Here is one of my future breeders that I bought as red....
Kakadu Dragons
Their girl Ruby (RIP) is what I call red. I like the red but many have a darkness to their coloration or turn brick.
I prefer the orange ones (that some call red too) because of the brightness of the coloration. That is why I like citrus dragons because of the bright highlighter yellow they can achieve. I just bought a dragon from Mystical-dragons.com
Foster and Candy are the parents and I like the brightness and intensity of their coloration. I just got my little guy yesterday and he is still scared so I will post a photo when he calms down a bit and I can get a shot without the camera freaking him out. Here is a picture of my citrus dragon Saffron.
