Ventilation

drykilllogic83 Jul 14, 2004 02:31 PM

I am in the processes of building a two-story cage (6L x 3W x 4H) and I am wondering if someone could tell me how much ventilation do I need. Could I just leave the top of the cage open by using metal mesh for a cover? Or maybe just half of the top made of mesh? Thanks!

Mine is 9 1/2 by 3 by 3. On the front I put a 16 inch wide strip of painted pegboard. If you use wire(hail screen) they will climb on it. Tegus are very curious and explore everything. Mine could climb on the pegboard a little when I first built the tank. Now he is too big and his nails won't fit.
