Problem with egg incubator

HerperHelmz Jul 14, 2004 03:39 PM

Hello all,

I was shocked yesterday to look into my ringneck snake egg incubator and find more than a dozen little white spiders crawling around. I am no spider expert, and I don't wanna be, I hate them. But I was wondering, are the eggs in any harm? I have 15 eggs in there, and I don't wanna loose any to unwanted bugs. My guess is the female spider went into a bag of moss I bought from the pet store and laid her eggs inside, the moss was then placed into the incubator, I'm also assuming the high humidity and warmth made the spider eggs hatch??

I'm pretty sure that the spiders won't bother them. Reptile egg shells are hard enough to keep most pests out, so I wouldn't worry about them.
