speaking of not eating

jeune18 Jul 14, 2004 03:57 PM

poor little kaiser, he will not eat either. he ate a couple wormies the day after he arrived and i put crickets in his cage and i guess he ate one because he had thrown up the worms that he ate on sunday (!) and one cricket. when he made poo this morning and did his butt drag/wipe there was ALOT of water. do you think that he is just stressed. should i move him out of the living room and into a private room until he gets used to all of us. he kept trying to bite me today. should i worry? the poop itself was whole and there were not bugs in it that i could see. i just worry because he is kinda skinny. should i just go get him probed for protozoans so i can stop worrying about it

Yeah I'd have a fecal done for parasites, if it is worring you.

A loss of appetite is also a sign. Of course you just brought him home, so that could be it also, as he has not acclimated yet to his new surroundings!

Are his droppings REALLYYYYYYYYYYYY smelly? I know none of it smells like roses, LOL but sometimes it has a very strong odor.

You could just hang in there and see if his appetite picks up, but if not get him tested !

I would definitely keep him seperated from my others for awhile. Hope hes fine !

and i have yet to acclimate to this house, ha ha. screaming children could freak anyone out. he is a skinny boy, my little kaiser berg (it said berg meant mountain and since i got him from the mountains i thought it was good)i should just take him and get him examened. i am not really sure if he was a wild caught, i wish i knew but i did not buy him and my parents did not know to ask. i am sure he has some kind of bug in him. i will have to take him next week sometime because i have to work everyday from now till then.
