CrazyCorn Jun 21, 2003 02:42 PM

Ok so i caved in and bought a breeding pair of leopard geckos today at a show, when i got them home and set them up the male starting shaking his tail really fast and nipping at the female so i seperated them, is this fighting or breeding? Also the female the guy said is a pastel but it looks like a luecistic so i am confused is it a pastel or luecistic? it has no pattern and is white in the head and tail with yellow on half of it body. so which is it? Thanks for any and all help!

Sounds like you have a patternless female by your description and the behovior the male is exhibiting seems like breeding behavior. Separate them because if you are new to leos, getting into breeding is complicated. Wait a while (at least a few months) before putting them together to breed.

1:1 leos...soon to be 1:5!!!
