Dirt (?) on crested's eye....

mikeandmegan Jul 14, 2004 11:24 PM

We took one of our cresteds out today and noticed a small black thing on the surface of her eyeball. Thinking it was just a little dirt, I sprayed the area to encourage licking. She licked her eye, but the "thing" didnt move. So I wet a q-tip and very carefully put a drop of water on the area, to help flush it out. She has licked it several times, but it still hasnt moved.

What could this be? Is it serious?

Mike,

I'm not sure what it is, but it should come off with the next shed. I wouldn't be too worried, so long as the gecko is behaving normally.
