My BTS' UTH is currently running quite hot, like 100-115 degrees, even w/ a rheostat turned all the way down. The herp room stays around 76-78 degrees during the day (not below 74 at night, I don't think). Is is OK to just turn the UTH off for the summer?

If you have a heatlamp then yes but If not go to home depot or lowe's get a ceramic light fixture and get like a 100W bulb or maybe a lower watt spotlight.You'll probably have to mess around with wattage depending on cage size and stuff.And you should go to bluetongueskinks.net and ask questions there.

I'd say that temp is a little on the hot side, but not bad. How big is the tank? Go to Bluetongueskinks.net for the best info you can get on them! Leofreak, should I join the LIHS?
