Ok I know I want a tegu and it's between columbian and blue. I know that the columbian is more agressive usally and has a worse reputation than the blue. I have a feew questions though. How big do columbian tegus get? How hard are they to tame? How much does a blue tegu cost?

Thanks ,

I have a Columbian and he is now about 2.5 years old. They can be hard to tame, mine is not tame by any means. He does allow me to hold him and pet him, but he would rather be let go outside I think! They can get pretty big, up to 4' if they are fed properly. I dont have any experience with blue tegus but I have heard good things about them. It all depends on the personality of the tegu in my opinion. Training and the time you spend do play a role as well though, but its up to the tegu if he wants to be your friend so to speak. Good luck!
