how often do 3' bp eat?

ziggie Jul 15, 2004 02:39 AM

I feed him a small rat three weeks ago and I thought he would be hungry by now... which he isnt.. so now I have adopted a small rat as a pet until the snake is actually hungry... Is there some kind of rule that if the snake hasnt take a dump yet.. they're not going to eat? also he's not going to shed any time so so... this is confusing

Anywhere from 2x per week to 2x per year.

Mine will eat usually 1x a week, but if they are in shed, or if it's winter, or a full moon (j/k) they decide to skip a meal. I would keep offering 1x a week until it eats. It's not abnormal for a BP to go 3 weeks or more without a feed. Winter months can be worse, with them going 6 months without food! (Nov - April is what my guy did last year)
