black stone???

pierreM Jul 15, 2004 04:35 AM

Hello,
I've heard about a "black stone" (made with plants and bones in Africa), that drains out any poison from snakes and other venoumous animals. Many people say that it's very good.

Does someone know if it's really efficient?
Thanks
Pierre

sounds like a gypsy trick that has no truth to it. I would never trust something like that. I trust crofab.

While you are at it....Have you got a line on the "Philosopher's Stone?" I have some lead I need turned to Gold. (lol)

I know a Haitian that will mix you a good "Love Potion" too. Get the Point?

You trust that crap? Guess you have to if you get tagged by a NA species. It's alot better than the Wyeth, but it's still junk. USA AV suxs, you would think our "cuttingedge" country could come up with a more efficient AV like South Africa or CSL, and even Costa Rica.

You would think for its higher prices it would be good. I have never had to use it but if I were tagged by a mojave green it would surely be what I trust over black stone. I was watching the croc hunter and he was showing how the gypsys that "charm" naja naja would put a stone on their foot when they got bitten to cure the envenomation...sounded a lot like this black stone when in reality the cobras had their fangs removed. It was a really sick thing to watch. The crofab comment was just point and from what I read on crofab it sounds more usefull than anything else for natives

I think Costa Rican AV would work alot better for alot of our native species, but I think alot of stupid things, so all this is just my opinions.

I've heard a few people mention that they would rather have the Mexican crotalid AV over Crofab, partly because of white blood cell problems that can occur WEEKS after a bite with Crofab...the mexican (and costa rican) stuff is supposed to be pretty good in treating even N.A. crotalid bites.

It's just a problem trying to find a doctor who will give you anything other than Crofab, probably cuz they just make way too much $$ on it.

Yup... another one of those "Remedies".

The only thing I ever heard of was a group of Indian people (like asian) that would use venom and make their own "anti-venom". It really only slowed the effects, but it did "somewhat" work.
