want another herp what to get.... and iguana cage update

mike d Jul 15, 2004 09:13 AM

figured i would post this in this forum because i got to it the most..

but i was doing more cage planning and i decided i am going to make the cage 8 feet long and four feet deep and probably 3-3.5 feet tall because he still cant climb..just becuase he lacks in the climbing area and i dont want something to happen to him... and he is back to showing absolutly no intrest in climbing

so since the cage will not be all the way to the floor my dad suggested that i get another herp to fill in the bottom half of the cage.. so now i cant decide what to get.. if anyone has any suggestions please post them.. i would like it to be from the same area as the igg.. you know high humidity.. you can make the cages look better

all sugestions are welcome

I suggest a Blue Tegu. They originate in South America, require higher humidity, are terrestrial, and they are very smart. They tame down nicely and make very interesting pets.

monitors get soooo huge! i think it would need a bigger cage. and they cost alot to feed. they eat mice and rats as adults. ive even heard of people feeding them bunnies i do want a tegu myself sometime in the future. niles are pretty cool too.
