What does the "Black beard" look like?

CokeOfMan Jul 15, 2004 09:58 AM

I've heard it sometimes mention that male Pacmans get a "black beard" when it's mating season. My frog has black markings on it's throat, but I've heard it doesn't mean anything.

Nice ornata! Don't see too many of those around anymore. The black beard is basically only something you see in males when they are in breeding condition. Mine only got the beard after brumation really. The throat basically ALL turns black. The lower throat. It is fairly noticeable. And again, nice frog. Really pretty.
