Allow me to brag a little...

I'm just really proud of what I did yesterday. Anyway, here it is:
Yesterday I was at a ne Petco in Orlando. I went up to the reptile section and shot immediately for the BCIs. When I got there, I looked in the cage and saw that the jaw of one of the babies was offset by about an inch. Immediately I thought mouthrot, and called the clerk over. The employee then took her out of the cage to take a look and we saw bubbling at the mouth. He confirmed my hypothesis and took her straight to the infirmary they supposedly had in the back. I'll be back to check on her in a few days. Either way, it was my first time actually seeing something of that nature in real life, and I just thought I'd share!

Thanks, that's great to make the effort and show some concern and consideration.
Unfortunately, they probably put her right back out as soon as you left... chances are there is no 'infermary' in the back other than normal tanks with normal sick snakes... just about the same as in the front.
I don't mean to bring you down, you made a great effort..
Going back to check would probably be best..
If you see the same or worst, don't dispair, just call someone and report them. You tried.

Take care, Joe

Good job on pointing out the poor conditioned animal.. Unfortunately if that petco is anything like the local ones (which I have been in the back of a few times) then the "infirmary" consists of a stack of cracked glass aquariums that they cannot return to the vendor filled with sick and dying animals (and usually dead animals as well) and the cages are usually filthy. Luckily the local Petco's are not allowed to sell any snakes other then colubrids and other various small non boid snakes, which cuts down on the reptile section.
