It's your money?! Geez!
I don't know what to tell you to do, he's your father I don't know how you should deal with him. I'm really on your side though, it's your money and if that is what makes you happy then of course it isn't a waste! A waste would be to make you get rid of your pets, knowing that would make you unhappy!

I thought it was in every little girls nature to have daddy wrapped around her little finger, I know my daughter does. Just bat your eyes and pout a bit and let him know how much they mean to you and he'll probably fold. Good luck

Keep trying and keep working on him. I'll be praying that he lets you keep them and lets you pay YOUR money to get them shipped. Good luck!

Beautiful Dragons
thanks you guys, you are very kind!
Something you may want to keep into consideration is what are you going to do once you get them there......
1. You'll have to find a food supplier. Many US places will not ship out of the states & if they do, the shipping will be quite high. (that's just for pellets & Sup.'s) Then you'll have to find a local bug supplier. I don't know how many people are into reptiles in Turkey but I'm willing to bet there isn't too many. I was in Sicily for a while & there weren't any reptile shops to my knowledge & the normal pet stores didn't carry any reptile stuff.
2. None of your lighting / heating stuff you have now will work there. I believe they have 220V power at 50Hz. Even with a transformer the 50Hz. will burn up any lighting or heating stuff from here. We use 110V at 60Hz. here. So that will be another expense you'll have to put out once you are there.
Sorry, I don't want to put a damper on anything but if I were you, I would find them good homes & see what it's like there. You could start over or you may find that it's just not feasible to keep reptiles over there.
Good luck.
