ive had the same problem a few times w mine ( very few times ) It will be randomly sometimes , ill look into her cage and she will just start hissing , but some key factors ive noticed have been after she has eaten , before she has shed , sometimes right after she has shed , when the animal is sick , which is causing it stress, and things of the sort , i suggest leaving the animal alone for a while, and coming back later to see if it is doing the same thing, she might just be po'd , it will more then likely go away
Best of luck
John

Boas can become more aggressive if they are stressed. First I would double check all husbandry issues like temps, humidity, hides, signs of illness, etc.
If it strikes at you when you put your hand in there then don't put your hand in there. Use a snake hook. Most boas calm down after being picked up with a hook.
Although we do have a couple aggressive boas that have never calmed down most calm down after gentle handling and your Hog will probably calm down too.
