information on starting a rescue

bloodroses19 Jul 15, 2004 03:28 PM

hey guys! im a proud owner of 3 iggs, 2 mali uromastyx, 1 bearded dragon, and 1 conehead lizard, 2 rats,2 dogs, and 1 cat. i have not bought any of these animals except the conehead lizard and one of the igs. they have all been taken in because they were not wanted or not properly cared for. i live with my aunts. but me and my boyfriend are looking to buy a house of our own. i have 3 people that want me to take in their igs when i move. i was thinking of trying to start a rescue. not right now, but sometime in the future. i was wondering if anyone knew how i could get any info on how i could go about doing this. i am curently taking an animal care specialist course from pcdi. i was going to get a job at the spca. i think i would injoy this alot more because the spca does not take in iguanas. and i dont think there is an ig rescue in nj. any help or comments wold be great thanks.
