i ok for spot to eat a vine? his out dore inclosure has one neer it so i was just wandering if I should keep it cut back or let him chow down if he wants

i know some ivy is poisonous to iggs. im not sure what kind. i would get rid of it.

Ok cool its not worth it. Thanks for the reply. Dose anyone know anything that will grow well in this horable California sun that I can plant in and around the out dore enclosure that he can eat?

As an amateur gardener, I can tell you that impatiens, pansies & petunias are all awesome, low-maintenance & love the weather down here (as long as you give them PLENTY of water). Phlox is great too, it's a groundcover & spreads like crazy.

Grass loves to munch on iceplant, and while it's not on the list above, it *is* on the UC Davis non-toxic plant list. And that stuff grows great here with little to no attention. In fact it's one of the plants you commonly see alongside the freeways in SoCal.

You should be able to find all of the above at any nursery or Home Depot. Good luck!

There's an excellent guide to poisonous plants at the end of "Iguanas for Dummies". Not only does it tell you which plants are poisonous, it lists the parts of the plant which are dangerous, since parts of some poisonous plants are not only edible but nutritious.

i live in the san fernando valleyand i keep strawberrys because they grow fast but need lots of water to make those juicy fruits that my igs love!!
