I'm trying to set up a quarantine tub for a male Hog about 1-2 months of age. I plan to house him in this tub for a couple of months before moving him into my reptile room and into his permanant home - a boaphile plastics cage (48x24x18).

What's a good size tub that will last him until about 5 months of age?

Shoe-box size.. but you have to watch baby Hog is. boas, they are restless and active. Some cages (or what's in the cage) make them feel secure and they are calm, others, for reasons not immediately obvious make them want to crawl (and rub). As a rule, small caging is better for baby boas, but you have to watch these guys and make adjustments.

I actually use the bigger size(28qt.) I can keep them in there for about a year. Make sure to have some hides though, even if it is only crumpled newspaper

I think like 16x24, but not real sure. They say 28qt right on them
