A couple of ugly lacie pics.

FR Jul 16, 2004 09:48 AM

This is a pic of a pair of 3rd generation lacies basking. I hear they are anti-social, but not from the monitors. This pair was not raised together and are not the most loving couple, but they never fight and get along fine.

The second pic is of the male by the door that leads to the inside part of their cage. They spend most of the year inside. But are lucky enough to go out in the summer. Whats funny is some will not go outside, at all. In most cases, these will set by the door and look out for hours at a time. Kinda sad if you ask me.

One of the things I like about lacies is, the females are very very feminine and meek. That is, until they want something, then they will kick the males arse, hahahahahahahahahaha kinda like humans. Enjoy FR

I don't think they're ugly at all, quite the contrary. I find your observations interesting when you referred to their option to go outside, but many chose to just look out. I had the same experience with my uromastyx. I live in Wisconsin, so I thought I would be great and I bought a huge reptarium so they could spend some time outside. I set the whole thing up, hides, part sun, part shade and put a pair in. Consistently, they were completely freaked out and never came out of the hide. So much for the natural sunshine idea. LOL I guess if they are not used to the outside they really don't know what to make of it. Like you said, it seems sad, but at least yours have the choice to make for themselves. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing.
