My sikorae died today, we have lost 3 females now. The first 2 were wc adults but this 1 was doing really well we got her as a baby from Hamm last september,we are really gutted and don't know whether or not to try another.Have you bred yours at all,I really like them but its so upsetting especially as the male is doing so well, we have had him about 18 months now so I don't think its anything we have done.

i am sorry to hear that.personally i have not bred them yet but i hope to later on.do not give up. i lost 5 females and 1 male before istarted keepingthem in pairs not groups .you said that your last one was a sameiti female with a pair of sikore sikore. one thing that i noticed while going through my records was that i lost 1 type of female when hosed with more than one of the other or same speices. i personally think that females are just as territorial as males. it is my opinion that it is best to keep sikores of any type in pairs not trios. you should have no problem now (unfourtunatley for you your female that died) , and i wish you all the luck in breeding them. i would also keep captive bred with captive bred becuse a wild one can carry something that will not harm it but will harm a captive born one. one thing i was going to try this yoear is a photoperiod with humidity change this winter.good luck and if you need more info feel free to ask.

It was the female sikorae sikorae that died, so I am left with the male and the female s sameti, that was sent as a s sikorae. before these I did have a cb pair of s sikorae I lost them both the male got an infection in his hemipenes, I don't know why the female of the pair died though.Anyway thanks for answering and hope you get to breed them in the future.
