incubation temps

Zeus Jul 16, 2004 03:19 PM

is 80 degrees too high for incubating crested gecko eggs. i have two eggs in a container sitting in my reptile room. it stays at about 80 during the day and then drops to about 70 at night. is this okay or should i put them in the basement in the incubator. thanks

I keep my Crested Geckos at 78-79F, 80F is probably ok but I wouldn't let them get any warmer than that personally. I choose to use an incubator personally but many hobbyists use the "set it on a shelf" method with great success. Best of luck to you!
