couple ?s about savannahs

ok im thinkin about getting a savannah monitor and im aware of the length and size its going to get and i was wondering what is a good size tank to start out in i alredy have a 4ft long tank by liek 2ft high and 12 inches deep and im thinking about using taht but i want to start it out in a lil smaller bc the 4ft 1 is being used by someone else but i was thinking is a 20 gal long good enough? and 1 more question when it gets bigger and is in need for a custom built tank whats a good size that would fit the monitor really good i was thinking about 8ft long about 4ft wide and around 4ft high is that good

You have it pretty well planned out. There is no problem with a twenty gal. as long as you have appropriate heating and lighting. Good luck with your savannah
