Baby Surnaime is pinkish/red around nose and mouth

rad Jul 16, 2004 04:57 PM

I fed my little girl Wednesday. She stayed in her hide box until today in which I noticed this odd looking pinkish red color around the tip of her nose and mouth. She is acting normal so part of me thinks it may be some Orchid Bark discolorization from being curled up during digestation, I've seen this temporarily happen on my Pyhton. I also don't think it's her shedding cycle since it's only been two weeks since her last shed. Am I way off base or should I head to my local reptile pro's?

From your description it is hard to tell, but if in doubt, take it to a vet.

These are the best I can get. Hopefully they'll tell you something.

But I would switch over to newspaper or papertowels.

Thanks for trying. My local reptile guys said it could be "rubbing" since she looks healthy and is eating well. I had never heard of "rubbing" before. he told me it would go away on her next shed.

Just regular neosporin? Any special way to apply it?
