How did you lose her.Explane the situation.
Thank you sooo much for replying.I really need your help.Well, I was playing with her outside. I had her right beside me.She likes climbing on our wood pile so I arranged a little climbing playground for her. It took less than half a minute! When I turned around she was gone! We have a neighbor right beside us and only a wood fence is blocking us. She could have gone through a hole in the fence. I looked around the block but I didn't find her.I have searched for about 2 days now.Now we are putting up posters but I don't think that will help too much. What do I do?
When beardies are used to living inside, they can get nervous when brought outside, even though the sun is shining and the woodpile looks like fun to climb on. Their first instinct in this unfamiliar setting might be to hide. In fact, if your beardie disappeared as quickly as you said, it's possible she may be hiding right in your woodlpile. Have you looked there? (it would mean taking the woodpile apart carefully, piece by piece, all the way down.)
Her survival outside depends on several factors, including the age and size of your beardie, as well as nighttime temperature. But she might possibly show herself by mid-morning in order to bask and raise her body temperature, and to look for food. Good luck.
Thanks for all your help. You were right! My neighbor found her outside early in the morning. You really helped me a lot!
Thanks Again!
If she has a favorite food item, you could try seeing if she's around by setting some out. If she's close by and can see it maybe she would come to get it. If she likes waxworms, you could try it. Maybe you could try setting up her favorite basking log in your yard. I'm just trying to think of things, but if she recognized it as her's and wanted to bask, she might come bask on it. These things would only work if she's nearby. If you are on good terms with your neighbors, you might want to ask if you can check in their yards.
I hope you get your beardie back. For future reference though, get a lizard leash. If you look away you'll either be holding onto your beardie or it'll have a long trail behind it. A bright colored one would work best.
