Easy question

I have a small male 14 in 11 months.In a 40 gallon long.Will that sustain him his whole life.He hasnt shed for like a month.He usually sheds once every 1-2 months.

What are the dimensions? I don't know what a 40 gallon long is, length and depth-wise, all I know is that the floor space is more imporant than the gallons. A 40 gallon breeder is good because it is wide, but a 40 gallon long I'm thinking may be too narrow. Give me the LxWxH and I can give you a better answer.
