Sure, you can buy a few and let him chase them in the tank. The only problem with feeder fish is they can carry parasites.

ok, so i can feed them to RES. I have 3 babies, how many should they each get? and should i only feed the feeder guppies here and there so they dont get bored of them, or can i always have them swimming in the cage?
Many people feed hatchlings daily but they only need food once per day every other day. Daily feeding can make for spoiled turtles and then they develop favorite foods and won't eat everything you give them. You can leave live feeder fish in the tank. Many turtles can not catch live fish. You may have to kill the fish. Feed the turtles that one time per day until they don't want anymore and then that's it until day after next. Variety is the key with feeders being a major part of the diet. See this link for more food suggestions.
