I am definately in awe over your water monitor. What exactly did you feed him in those 30 days to make him grow so much? You do know that Miracle Grow is for plants, not reptiles, right? lol

No, really though. If you could please give me a list and approximately how much of each per week.. that would be great. I would love to see my Nile grow that much just in 30 days. I'm sure he's grown some and I just don't notice it. lol

Thanks, beautiful monitor by the way.

He went from 12 to 24 inches in length and has doubled in weight since it arrived. Firstly,i breed rats and mice so i usually feed it as many rat pinkies/hoppers/month old mice as it'll take everyday and as you can see from the pics it has a plethora of crickets to munch on when ever it gets the urge. Let me clarify, i feed it either a combination of those or one or the other. It readily eats 4 rat pups and would try and eat another if i offered it to em but after 4 it looks like its about explode so usually stop there.

Well, I breed my own mice too. Currently I have a batch of 13 sitting waiting to be old enough to be fed off. My nile eats usually every day. Except this last week, he's been eatting a few mice i've had that are a tad too big for him, and stuffs himself. I will have to try reoffering him crickets. For some reason, he doesn't seem to be tooenthused about them. Thank you once again. Sorry if I'm bugging you with all my questions. You know you like it though. lol
