nile monitor illness

I have a neonate nile monitor and he has only eaten a few crickets and he is panting like a dog. If any body knows what might be wrong with this little guy please contact me. I will appreciate any responses

Is it possible that it is TOO hot in the cage? Also, he could be dehydrated.
