Hello,
I have a skill testing question for you guys. So please allow me to delve into that vast resevoir of knowledge you all know you have
. I have a dilemma on my hands. My female taeniura laid her first clutch for me on June 14th. This is her first year breeding. I have the eggs at 79-80 degree temperatures as from what I understand, cooler incubation temperatures work wonders. I also understand that they have a 63 day incubation period- more or less. Hopefully less for me, as heres my problem. I will be on a camping vacation when they are due to hatch on august 16th. Its far enough into the trip that I can't stay back and wait for them, and close enough to the beginning where it may be a problem to have the babies in the container for such a long time. About a 7-10 day period total. Now, if I raise the incubation temperatures, can I knock some time off ? If not, would you allow a litter of snakes to remain in such small quarters for such a long period of time, without a proper setup ? Could I maybe leave a water dish in the container for them once the come out of the eggs ? Should I make some extra room in the van for the extra cargo ? When I introduced the snakes I didn't anticpate this becoming a problem. Please help me come up with a solution. Thanks for your time, and I appreciate any suggestions.
KyLE
