looking for local herpers

snakematt Jul 16, 2004 11:58 PM

hey all, this is my second post. Met lots of really good people through my first post, but none local. I'm really looking for people local to central CA (the Bay Area) that like to look for herps. I do a lot of hunting but it's really expensive. Would like to find fellow herpers to share expenses. So many herps to photo and so little money! If you're interested, you can reach me at snakematt@hotmail.com
Looking forward to meeting more good herpers.
Matt

Hey matt. I am a herp fanatic and live in the bay area. San Mateo to be specific. There are a few spots down here that are alright. I grew up mostly catching alligator lizards, fence lizeards, etc. but never had the knack for snakes. I also hear there are some spots up north that are pretty nice as well. What kinds of reptiles do you come across? and where are you located?
