That's not bad but you might be able to get better growth if you offer a warm, humid hide. What are the temperatures you are keeping it at and how often do you soak the little guy.

I am feeding her hibiscus flowers, colard greens and some weeds. I soak her about twice a week, but always have a shallow dish in her pen. Does hydration affect pyramiding? thanks for the response. If you know of any other plants that i might be able to purchase and plant for her please let me know.

Hydration definately effects, what most call normal, shell growth.

On the diet, I use what I call the shotgun method. You feed as varied a diet as you possibly can and you are bound to hit the nutrients that are requied because, as far as I know, there are very few studies on the nutritional requirements for tortoises and when you consider that the nutritional requirements for humans is controversial you can imagine what we really know about the topic when tortoises are concerned.

I really do recommend this stuff called Mazuri tortoise diet. I recently found out that Petsmart now carries it which makes it easier to get. I feed it once or twice a week.

I hope I answered your question.

I'm using Netscape. Anyone know why I can't see the image posted by this person?

I am using IE and cannot see it either. I have had this problem on the forum before but have never figured out why.
