well, I got my rabbits, I got 10 new zealands. about 4 or 5 of which are feeders. I tried feeding my 7' burm one, but of course he did not take it. No problem. i did not kill the rabbit yet. i am going to get him excited with it and when i know he will take it i will kill the rabbit. the 2nd time i tried it he looked like he was a bit interested and went up to the rabbit and started flicking his tongue, still did not take it. i am going to use the method i used to get it to eat the chicken. that is take a rat thawed out and put it in with him. if he eats it he eats it if he don't he don't. i have oter things that will enjoy a rat. Last tim he did not eat it because i'm still switching the f/t. So I will let it stay in there about 30 min. and then see if he has a feeding rasponse because of the scent driving him crazy. i will oif course keep close check on him to see if he does eat the rat. If he does i will imeediately go get the rabbit and see if he'll take it then. so wierd that in the wild they eat anything they can and captivity they are so picky. i was not expecting him to eat it without any trickery so no big surprise. oh, and i got all those rabbits for $35. That is pretty good don't you think.
