Hello, I have a couple of questions about dumpy tree frogs......

jch Jul 17, 2004 05:36 PM

The ambient temp in the tank is sitting at 77f. Is that good enough?

Water temp is sitting at 83f. good?

Sorry for the basic questions, just trying to make sure I have everything setup ok. How about ventilation? The humidity is great but I only have about a 6 inch long by 2 inch wide gap for fresh air. Is that ok? Thanks for any responses!!!!!!

The temps sound great, just make sure they don't go above 85 or so for very long. What size tank is it? The humidity should be about 50% give or take. Usually that can be achieved just by leaving the entire screen top open or by spraying the tank a few times a day. good luck

They are in a 29 gallon tank..The temps have dropped a little down to about 74f. The water stays at a constant 82f but the ambient bounces a little. These are our first (blue) dumpy frogs and we love them. We have other reptiles, but these are our first amphibians? in our collection. Anyways, if there is another way we can boost the temps a little let me know. The humidity is great, a little moisture on the sides of the glass. Hey thanks for replying!!!!!!!!
