Which bulb would you guys say I should buy: Power Sun Bulb from ZooMed or U.V. Active Heat Flood Bulb from T-Rex? thanks

There is a Yahoo Group, "UVB_Meter_Owners" that actively tests the UVB output of bulbs on the market. I have not checked the group recently, but a few months ago, when I was in the market for a new bulb to replace my PowerSun, the reccommended the T-Rex Active light to me as it acutally gives off more UVB than the PowerSun. I went ahead and bought it and have been completely satisfied with it. You might want to check the group as there may be newer buls on the market or new results or whatever, but the T-Rex was the group favorite at the time and it has also become my favorite.

was just reading through the group posts...mega ray now be the group's recc, but that only produces uvb, no heat. i'd still say if you want both uvb and heat, go with t-rex active. if you want to know which type flood/spot and which wattage, i'd reccommend that you ask the yahoo group. not positive since i'm not at home at the momment, but i think i'm using 120 watt spot for my tegu.

I would have one source for light/UVB and another for heat. Seems to me that when they try to combo heat and light they both would suffer.

Actuly The one that Big Apple Herp cares (Capture the sun ) Puts out more than Any other . The othetwo put out 50 mc watts at 12 ". The big apple one puts out 164mc at 12 ". nerly three times as much .Hope this helps Russ

I use Cypress mulch, orchid bark ,cocco bark. They are all finr thanks Russ
