I think my 2 year old BCI will be a giant...

I've had this girl from a neonate (picked her out from about 20 of the same clutch at a herp friendly pet store in Orlando-Pet Bazaar) and I have always fed her on what I believe is "pet healthy"- every 15th and 30th, one rat no bigger than the girth of the snake, ect. After two years, she is 6 feet long. She did something last month she has never done-struck at the glass on several occasions as I walk by. I decided I will feed her two rats every other feeding, 'cause she seems hungry. She's in a 4x2x2 Neodesha, and I'm planning on building a 7'6"x2x2 wooden cage in the fall for her. She's a lamb, during the day, I never need a hook to get her out. My question is... Is this normal?

Seems to be a normal response from our boas, every now and then if one missed a meal due to a shed cycle or just plain didnt wanted their rat one week by the time it comes around to the next week anything that goes close to the front of their cage is fair game, and they have had a good piece of me and the glass on serveral occasions... i would say up the feeding of two rats every other week and you will be fine. Mine personally eat every 7 days but even with our biggest girl we only do 2-3 Jumbo/Retired Breeder rats soooo that there isnt ever a big enough meal that i feel they wont be able to digest without any problems...

Sincerely,
Rose
