Question about Vision cages

thescubadude Jul 17, 2004 08:57 PM

I am thinking about picking up a vision cage for my albino burm. He is only about 5 ft right now but obviously growing fast. I am looking at a couple of the different cages offered by Vision. They are offering one measuring 48 x 26 x 14, would this be big enough or would I need to step up to the one measuring 72 x 28 x 16? I know the ideal one would be the bigger but would the smaller of the two give the snake ample room? The reasons I would like to go with smaller is the obvious amount of room it would take and I also would like to stack a couple together and the other one would be for a boa. Thank you in advance for anyone 's input who is familiar with these cages.

Although the 4' cage would be fine for a while, you would be much better off with the 6' vision...it won't be long before your burm outgrows the 4' cage and in the long run, it will be a much better investment. Plus, a full grown boa really needs a 6' cage to do well. Although many breeders keep their boas in 4' I can only say from experience that this is much too small a space for a bulky animal like a boa. So, get two 6' visions that can be stacked. Rob

Rob is absolutely right on this one. Especially with your burm being female. You can expect her to get a bit bigger than if she were a male. Get the bigguns, cause if you get the smaller ones, your gonna have to get the big one eventually.

Thanks for the advice.
And my burm is a male, did I mix up in the way I listed their sexes? I though it was Female.Male.Unknown, I made a big mistake if I'm wrong. I'm really married to a woman, lol.

I did kinda wonder about that when I saw it at the bottom of your post. Im pretty sure its male.female.unknown. But I suppose I could be screwing it all up too.
