Take him into the bathroom and let him see himself in the mirror.

or u could show him a female or another male

If you have another male around show them eachother, if not try the mirror. Also depending on temp, lighting, age, and health, he may not fire up at that time. I also notice some of my males will only fire up when shown some certain males but won't when shown others.
