Any North American Milksnake keepers or breeders lurking out there??????

Jeff Schofield Jul 17, 2004 10:32 PM

This forum has been taken over by the fuzzy little foreigners.I know we have lost some significant breeders in the past year or two but I know there has to be SOME interest in milks beyond the hondo/nelsoni/pueblani subspecies.I am as lax as any,but a NEW CAMERA is on the way and I will post some new pics here soon.I would have expected LOTS of syspila/gentilis pics here in the last month, havent people been in the field or dont they frequent this forum anymore?Personally no matter what I keep I always seem to graduate toward the most difficult, lol.Anyway, time to take back the forum,at least for a little while! Thanks,Jeff

My Russell County, Kansas milks are pipping tonight. 52 days. My female that I caught in April layed 5 eggs.

Here's a photo of my male red milk.
This is my first year breeding these.
The eggs are due to hatch in a couple weeks.

That resembles what we used to call a green phase eastern milk. They are fairly common in KY, I used to see them quite often when I lived there. Is that snake from KY by any chance?

As of now, I only have elapsoides and triangulum in NA milks. I have had syspila and amaura in the past.
