Coloured poop or regurgitated food?

humiliated_grape Jul 17, 2004 10:41 PM

Hi all, I've been reading the Kingsnake.com forums for sometime now but only just now decided to join the community. I have a 2-year-old beardie named Mel.

I've been out of crix the past two days, so he ate quite a large amount of veggies, including carrots (and their leafy tops), collard greens, mustard greens. Today, I noticed his poop was really different looking - he usually eats more crix than veggies. A little more watery and half was kind of chunky and carrot-coloured, but there was some brown and green also in there.

Anyways, his poop has never looked like that before ... but I'm guessing it's just because he ate so much carrot? I actually couldn't really tell if it was poop or regurgitated food. He seems completely healthy otherwise.

Just wanted to check in and make sure. He probably shouldn't have had so many carrot pieces, but it was really all I had aside from the collards and mustards and I didn't want him to go hungry until I get my next shipment of crix tomorrow.

Thanks

The color seems to be from the carrot most likely, My beardie eats pellets when I run out of greens and the resulting color... well it's anywhere from blue to green
