I have a regular large supply of extra rats, and I also keep a pair of ferrets as pets. I know there is no requirement to have a USDA permit to sell my reptiles (I do have a state Fla. class III license), but what about baby ferrets and the rats (especially the rats)? If I want to place an ad in my local shopper and sell the rats, do I need the license, or am I allowed to sell a certain amount without it?

I heard USDA inspectors will fine you if you even have a spot of rust on your rat cages, I don't want to deal with that nonsense.
