Question about my new beardie's ear

Reptichik Jul 18, 2004 07:48 PM

My new beardie appears to be "shedding" the inside of her ear or something. It has been like this since I got her, and I asked the breeder about it, we decided to wait to see if it just needed to be washed out (piece of shed skin or whatever), however, it appears the the membrane is either broken or shedding. Any ideas? Sorry the pic is so bad, but I do have a crappy camera

How long has it been like that? If it's been like that for a while, or if it says like that for any more than a few more days,, I'd have it looked at by a Vet.

Keep us updated.

So they do shed the inside of their ears?

Joel R Jul 18, 2004 08:52 PM

They have that membrane that covers their ear & that sheds too. Tell me, can you see past the membrane, into the head? Or does it just look like the membrane is shedding like any other part of their body?

Well, now that I know that the membrane sheds, that is what I think it may be. I can't see into the head. Hmm. I will keep an eye on it over the next day or two. I think I feel alot better.
