the opposite thing is happening to me, my male is frisky for the female, which is what usually happens.
2 days of eating is nothing to stres about just as long as she's drinking water, if she starts losing weight then worry.
How old are these geckos?

my male is a 9in high yellow with lavinder and he is about a year and a half. im not sure how old she is cuz i got her from a reptile show but she is prolly about a year she is only 7in cuz her tail was brocken off wen i got her but if it was a full tail she wuld be 8in. so shuld i let them mate? or wat

you can if you want, their ages sound ok, how much do they weigh is the important thing for the female
many breeders wait till their females are 50g , underweight females may become eggbound or throw infertile eggs. Also many breedings will weaken her and shorten her life span.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, also if you do breed them make sure you have incubators set up, and homes and small enough food for the little ones.

Too many times on this forum people ask for help when they clearly should of read material before starting.

AGREED!!!!
Questions have been answered numerous times in the first two pages, and care sheets and books are available... I totally agree with this statement.

that is true its just that i didnt find anything that states the situation. but i decided not to breed them and jus try and fatten my female up cuz shes hasnt eatin for a few days.

That's totally fine i was just making a statement in hopes that OTHERS will PLEASE read and re-consider before breeding, especially those children whos' mothers hate crix and will not pay for vet bills yet bought them a living animal anyways.

bah sorry. I'm glad kids are interested but i'm worried about the quality and control as well. There's just too much interested too quickly

yea and plus i think my female my have internal parasites n i dun think my mom will pay for a vet bill for my geckos she would just say that its a stupid lizard so i dunno wat to do

snarks Jul 19, 2004 05:27 PM

you should ask and explain to her that these animals live for 20 years. If you care for you leo you should let her know that its a cherished pet. Mine are, just because they're not fuzzy doesn't mean they're disposable

Its hard i know, moms don't generally enjoy lizards but let her know its important to you that your lizards are healthy. Plus and Brian will can prolly answer this better than i, but parasites aren't that expensive to treat. In perspective cheaper than dogs i bet :P

Good luck
